About Randy:

Randy Emata’s producing career is backed by years of both live and recording studio experience. As a musician, Randy was classically and jazz trained on the piano since the age of five, which began a long line of performances as a solo artist and as a member of countless bands. A teaching career began in middle school, playing in nightclubs at age 16, cutting records in high school and touring the world as an young adult. Over a decade ago, the focus turned to the studio, a decision made easy with the birth of his son, Dakota. With Randy’s musical experience as well as an equal love for recording, he’s been able to bridge the gap between artist and a finished product. This ability has enabled him to create a handsome living doing what he loves in an almost impossibly full time career choice.

Currently, Randy has found his way around the country, recording and collaborating on both coasts as well as the mid-west. With the advent of high speed internet, international jobs have also landed on his hard drives. Aside from being a dedicated family man and social animal, most of his time is spent on artist development. But, his jobs are as diverse as his clientele. It is not uncommon to find Randy mixing a full sized CD project, turning out a video game spot, or consulting in studio organization (an extension of his detailed character). As for live performances, he books only one gig a year holding down the keyboardist position for the esteemed TEC Awards held during the annual AES Show. A job not for the faint of heart, considering the room is filled with all the greatest producers and engineers responsible for shaping the music industry for the past 54 years.

In the last two years, designing recording studios has become an added passion. With a beautiful facility only a few months away from completion in San Jose, California & developments for a location in Los Angeles, his love for studio technology only extends the musically creative force that fuels this individual to hold the title of, Producer.

The following list consists of exceptional individuals Randy has had the privilege of performing, collaborating, songwriting or recording with so far:

Tony Shepperd, Curt Bisquera, William Kennedy, David Garibaldi, Carmine Apice, Brain, Chester Thomson, Karl Perrazo, Giovanni Hidalgo, Reggie Hamilton, Rob Wasserman, Will Lee, Paul Jackson, T.M.
